Personality;
Personality; Alexander is seen as troublesome by his parents but he has his heart in the right place. He is good at concocting 'bright ideas' and 'hair-brained schemes' when he gets himself stuck fast in seemingly irreversible situations. He is ambitious, sarcastic at times and not afraid to walk a little on the wild side. Alexander has a spunky personality which struggles with the strictness of his home life. He is also very open to others and has a way of convincing people to help him.

Altogether he has a charming but sometimes explosive personality. Alexander is not overly intelligent but works very hard. He wants to make his parents proud but he constantly fights against the fact they repress any of their children's attempts at freedom. Alexander seems quiet and serious from the outside. However when he speaks he is completely different. Though he does believe you should get your responsibilities out the way and then you can get on with the fun stuff.

Background;
Alexander was born the eldest of two. He was raised to appreciate his mother's Indian culture and his father's british culture. He was also raised to appreciate both magical and muggle worlds. His parents were strict and expected good grades at all times, a lot of chores around the house when he is home and absolutely no rule-breaking. His mother is an excellent cook. His parent both love him and smother him with over protectiveness combined with a desire to make sure he grows up right.

He spends as much time out the house as they will let him. He also likes to win small battles around the house. Like turning the air conditioning on in the summer when his parents say heat builds character. He picks his own friends but knows his parents will expect to meet them. Alexander was born a Seer, an incredibly rare thing, and his father chooses to ignore it. His mother loves the fact he is a seer because it goes back to her families connection to the mystic through their Indian heritage.

What house your character thinks they should be in:

Alexander had thought at one point he would not even be able to go to Hogwarts. After all his mother had been almost determined she would just teach him at home. However she was finally convinced this would be impossible due to the law on underage magic at home. So Alexander had not really thought about what house he would like to be in. He had however read a book on the houses. So now standing in the line he considered his options.

He felt he was brave enough for Gryffindor. Though his version of chivalry was more getting his friends out of trouble he probably got them into in the first place. Alexander had to admit he was hard-working but he put that mostly down to parental pressure. He liked the idea of Slytherin. He certianly was ambitious. Plus he was always coming up with 'clever plans' to get out of sticky situations which he supposed counted as self-preservation and family loyalty. He did not even consider Ravenclaw. He was not intelligent really, hence working so hard, and he did not like the idea of reading for fun all that much.
