Personality;
Personality: Hermione is still and always will be a borderline genius. She still reads a lot, loves to learn, and almost always seems to know the answer or if she does not looks it up as soon as she can. She has become less of a know-it-all as age has mellowed her but she still doesn't like it when someone asks her something she cannot answer. She is not always the best with people, though she is relatively perceptive and very compassionate. Hermione disproves of breaking rules, but she does accept that sometimes it is necessary. She is exceptionally loyal to her friends, though she has trouble making them. She has not really become any better with people as she has got older but she has become more confident.

Hermione loves her family but feels sometimes she is forced to be the bad guy to counteract her husband's laid back parenting style. She is the one who sets most of the rules and enforces them. She hates violence even in games and does not allow toys she feels promote it. She wants her children to be happy but also to be valuable and respectful members of society so she tries to allow them freedom while making sure they are not doing anything she thinks is bad for them. She worries rather too much about them as opposed to her husband who does not necessarily worry enough.

Background:

Hermione is the only child born to muggle parents, both of whom are dentists. Her parents loved her very much, and loved spending time with her whenever they were not working. However, they were also firm believers in the value of hard work, and made Hermione help out around the house. They pushed their daughter hard, especially when it came to school. But Hermione didn't really mind, because she loved to learn, and was naturally very good in school.

She worked hard and continually got straight A's. But she did not really have many friends at school, tending to act a bit like a know-it-all. She faced her share of bullies, but never minded them all that much. Ignoring them generally worked well for her but, when it didn't, she always had clever retorts. Though this never exactly made them leave her alone, she got by as she buried herself in her school work and spent time with her loving family.

Hermione changed as she attended Hogwarts. Learning to accept that rules must sometimes be broken, learning how to stand up for herself and forming her strong bond with Harry and Ron. It took a while, years in fact, but Ron and Hermione finally admitted they were in love. Out of those they knew Hermione and Ron were actually the last to get married as Hermione wanted to focus on her career. The confidence she had gained at Hogwarts gave her the courage to promote welfare for all creatures and half-creatures, especially house elves, and she was instrumental in changing the law to improve things for them.

She was recently promoted to The Department for Magical Law Enforcement. She loves her job and has settled into using her intelligence for the greater good. She is aware her long house make it hard on her children but she relies on the fact her husband is home a lot more than she is. Despite her love for her job Hermione tries to be always there when her children need her. She never misses being home to kiss them goodnight even if shes just in time.
